Sectors

AirTrav Inc. provides professional advisory services in Canada and around the world, with particular emphasis on the aviation sector. We support airlines, airports, governments, investors, law firms, labour associations, regulators, trade associations, and other travel industry clients. AirTrav has also supported maritime operators and shippers, pipeline transmission companies and road-haul operators.

Airlines

AirTrav has worked with all types of airlines worldwide, including network, regional, cargo, LCC and ULCC. We have partnered with trade associations and other consultancies on numerous missions. We have deep domain expertise in many areas of commercial strategy, business process transformation, financial and fleet analysis, fuel management, risk management (fuel and forex hedging), distribution and travel technology, network modelling, pricing and revenue management, and support for airline matters intersecting government and regulators.

Airports

In the airport world, AirTrav provides traffic forecasts, operational analysis, passenger experience audits, LCC self-connect strategies, air service development analytics, and benchmarking of different governance models such as public, semi-private and private, plus various approaches to non-aeronautical strategies.

Government &
Regulatory

AirTrav provides research and analytical support for government legislative or regulatory changes, and for current and proposed airline matters before the Competition Bureau. We can also assist domestic airline start-ups and offshore airlines with licencing and bilateral air service agreement matters.  While AirTrav is not a registered lobbyist, we do prepare advocacy letters for industry associations to support a wide range of aviation and travel industry issues.

Investors

We provide independent market research and analysis for investors that are contemplating airline investments or acquisitions but who lack deep in-house knowledge. And through our partnership with a national Canadian law firm and a Big Four consultancy, AirTrav is working with investors in an active search for appropriate regional aviation M&A opportunities in North America.

Law Firms

AirTrav provides a range of support for law firms, including class action expert reports, insolvency/bankruptcy analytics including aircraft re-leasing, regulatory hearings on aviation matters, labour negotiations, structured tax deals intersecting the aviation space, and more.

Travel Management

Our full circle experience in the aviation and travel sectors makes us a logical choice for companies looking to reduce their T&E burden. While AirTrav is neither a travel management company (TMC) or a technology vendor, we harness our knowledge of airline and travel suppliers, TMCs, travel distribution, and self-serve booking solutions. We analyze unmanaged, unstructured corporate travel and credit card policies, recommend self-serve booking tools, structure revised or new travel policies and assist with strategic supplier negotiations.
